Overview
- Phish Alert is a Gmail addon provided by KnowBe4
- When you receive an email that you are a sure is a phishing attack. You can report the email in Gmail directly.
- Reporting Phishing emails in this way may also assist I.T. in mitigating large scale attacks if necessary.
- The procedures for reporting are shown below beginning with the Gmail Web View and then for the Gmail Mobile App.

Instructions
Gmail Web View:
- Open the message in question and click the Fish Hook in the Sidebar. If you don't see the side bar, click the button as shown below.
- Phish Alert will show you information that will help you determine if the email is legitimate, such as sender details. Click "Phish Alert" to send the report.
PhishER will then assess the email. From there we are able to evaluate the message and send it back to you if it's legitimate.

Gmail Mobile App:
- Open the message in question in your Gmail mobile app. Scroll to the bottom of the message and click the Fishhook Icon.
- From here you can either view detailed information on the sender or complete the report by selecting "Phish Alert"
